Big Village Brings Big Talent and Big Partnerships Pt. III

In our last issue, we promised we’d share Marketing 101 insights and thoughts on professional networking from our interview with Bridget Tirella, Senior Director of Marketing here at Big Village. And if it’s one thing Big Village is known for, it’s delivery. “It starts with content.”

In Bridget’s words, “You have to have good content. You have to have high-value content — interesting content — because if you don’t have something to share with your prospects, you’re not going to see any response.” Much of this campaigning best practice demands that your business meets viewers and readers where they are. A customer knows they’re being sold to, so embrace that idea, and make it fun! Imagine it this way: You’re letting your prospect know how you can help them.

In our interview, Bridget reminded us that every company (even ours) can easily fall into the self-centric trap, especially in the market research world: Thinking only about what our competitors are doing — and, even more so, thinking about ourselves. But the end goal should always be to make it about the customer.

Picture this: You’re a customer who receives an email from a company telling you “Here’s why we’re so great.” Is that really what’s going to keep your attention, or are you just going to move on to the next email? You have to put the customer first, even as you conceptualize what your company is doing.

Stay ahead with professional networking.
