Expert has over 30 years of leadership experience in advanced materials engineering, surface science, and vacuum-based technologies. As Vice-President of Research & Development at Surface Engineered Products Corp./Westaim, he spearheaded the invention and commercialization of high-temperature coatings for applications in the petrochemical industry. When Bodycote Plc. purchased the above technology in 2003, he continued to provide technical support for the new production plant in UK, while simultaneously heading the High Temperature Coatings Laboratory at Bodycote Material Testing Canada. His development experience includes invention, project design, supervision, strategic planning and implementation. Industry experience includes advanced materials development, innovation and commercialization of new coating products and processes, proprietary equipment design, trial manufacturing plant management, and start-up business leadership. Following the transfer of Bodycote's High Temperature Lab to the United Kingdom, he founde a firm devoted to Research and Technology Consulting. As a part of the Paradigm Shift Tchnologies Inc., Toronto and in partnership with Manoir Industries, France, he participate in the development of the next generation of CoatAlloy™ engineered surfaces. Utilizing his knowledge and experience in high temperature materials and gas analysis, expert participated also in the development of Alter NRG / Westinghouse Plasma Gasifiers. Air Products licensed the technology and is presently building the world's largest renewable energy facilities .
