Request Expert

Ms. Expert is familiar with the air quality control regulations in several states. She has performed air quality regulatory compliance audits for numerous clients to ensure that their facility meets the current regulations.

Ms. Expert has performed several air quality modeling assessments using many different US EPA-approved air quality models, including: AERMOD, ISC (Industrial Source Complex), SCREEN3, CALPUFF, SCIPUFF/SCICHEM, HPAC, SLAB, EKMA/OZIP, ROME and SACTI. She has performed analyses for industrial facilities, power plants, hazardous waste remediation activities and accidental release scenarios. Ms. Expert has dispersion model development experience and assisted in the development of "SCICHEM'.

Ms. Expert has performed many BACT analyses for many kinds of air emission sources, including emergency generators, combustion turbines, boilers, and industrial emissions of volatile organic compounds.

Ms. Expert has been practicing in the field of air quality consulting for 14 years. She has experience in air emission estimates, air quality modeling, air pollution control evaluations (BACT), air quality permitting and air compliance audits.

Applied Science Associates (ASA), Narragansett, RI. Performed AERMOD air dispersion modeling for several clients of ASA located in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia: 1) Modeled emissions of NOX, SOX, and PM10 from a polypropylene manufacturer; 2) Modeled VOC and benzene emissions from a storage tank terminal (gasoline and kerosene); 3) Modeled emissions of CO, NOX, SO2, NMHC, HCl, HF, Pb, Cd, Hg, Ti and PM10 from a steel complex.Plainfield Renewable Energy, Plainfield, CT. Conducted cooling tower modeling using the Seasonal/Annual Cooling Tower Impact (SACTI) model for the proposed 1x2 linear mechanical draft cooling tower. Estimated the impacts of local shading of the sun due to a visible plume, fogging at ground level, ice build-up, and deposition of dissolved salt particles. Plotted results over topographic maps using SURFER and prepared a final report.Concord Hospital, Concord, NH. Performed AERMOD modeling for a burner change on a boiler at Concord Hospital. Modeled the emissions of NOX, SO2, PM10 and CO and prepared a modeling report that was submitted to the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services with the permit application. CH2M HILL Hanford Group, Inc, Richland, WA. Performed SCIPUFF and ISC modeling for odor and carcinogen emissions from the Hanford Waste site in Washington State. Validated the safety of ducting emissions from underground storage tanks to a single stack located away from the worker areas so that workers would no longer need to use a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).GeoInsight, Manchester, NH. AQA was subcontracted by GeoInsight to perform AERMOD modeling for several GeoInsight clients: 1) Performed AERMOD modeling of air toxics from a soil vapor extraction system to be located at a landfill in New Hampshire; 2) Performed AERMOD modeling for emissions from a Waste-to-Energy (WTE) facility in support of a health risk assessment; 3) Performed odor modeling for a manufacturer that was cited by MA DEP in order to determine the best mitigation techniques.
