Request Expert

Expert is a Board Certified pathologist, with boards in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology. Expert is the Medical Director of Clinical Laboratory at West Jefferson Medical Center, a large surburban hospital in the New Orleans area. He has served as such for 20 years. He is the owner of an independent anatomic pathology laboratory which processes over 100,000 tissue biopsies annually. He has served as an expert in numerous legal cases covering the topics of wrongful death, mesothelioma, intoxication and medical malpractice. He is familiar with the business aspects of the laboratory business.

As Director of Pathology, Expert has experience managing a large community hospital laboratory with 3 doctors and 57 support staff. Under his supervision, 8,000 lab processes are completed on tissue specimens and 750,000 clinical laboratory tests are performed annually. The College of American Pathologists has continually accredited his lab since 1979, at the beginning of his career as the Director.

As a consultant in Pathology and President of his company, he has been able to independently run an anatomic pathology laboratory and provide service to hospitals, surgery centers and doctors’ offices in his region with only 3 doctors and 16 support staff members. Revenues grew 2000% from 1985 to 2005 under his supervision. His lab process 75,000 tissue specimens a year.

In education, as a Clinical Associate Professor, he has been recognized numerous times for his excellence in teaching and outstanding character as a teacher since 1987. He recently received the Innovative Teaching Award.
