INDUSTRIAL MICROBICIDES. The areas of Expert' greatest current activity and most significant career experience and expertise are the product development and application of industrial antimicrobial agents. He provides expert technical assistance in the chemistry and microbiology necessary to the selection and application of antimicrobial agents for various industrial and personal care products such as cosmetics and toiletries, paints and coatings, plastics, water, metal working fluids, inks, and others. Expert wrote the section on "Industrial Antimicrobial Agents" of the Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology, and has broad experience in the marketing and regulatory aspects of industrial antimicrobial agents.

ORGANIC CHEMISTRY; SPECIALTY CHEMICALS. Expert has primary chemical expertise in organic chemistry, with specific experience in the development of specialty chemicals: heterocyclic, organometallic, pharmaceutical, and dye intermediates. His experience spans original molecular design and synthesis, process optimization, product formulation, application development, and managing research and development.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT. Expert's management experience includes directing a wide variety of technical programs, including a fully integrated research and development operation supporting a $20 million profit center. His responsibilities included the management of chemistry, process optimization, microbiology, application development, clinical and toxicology testing, and regulatory affairs (EPA, FDA, trade associations).

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT. Expert's experience in this area is not limited to areas of specific technology. He is a strong advocate of team building, especially as it applies to managing transition, cross-functional operations, and business teams. He served for an extended period of time as the senior technical representative to business teams established to insure close technical-business integration.
