Expert is a cell phone expert. He has been working with cell phones extensively for 18 years, having been hired as an expert in dozens of cases with testimony in many cases in several states as well as Federal courts. He served 20 years with the Houston Police Department, including 17 years in investigative assignments and nearly 10 years as an investigative supervisor. While working as a homicide investigator for nearly six years, he developed a specialty with cell phones that led to him creating and supervising a dedicated unit to obtain, interpret, analyze, map, and surveil cell phones, in addition, to extensively testifying in major criminal prosecutions. He also supervised the Digital Forensic Lab (DFL). After retiring from the Houston Police Department in 2015, he now splits his time between providing cell phone-related law enforcement training and providing expert consulting and witnessing services. He also continues to work in this field as a police officer acting as a volunteer sworn investigator for the Kendall County District Attorney's Office just outside San Antonio, Texas.
