Expert has been retained by plaintiff, defense and state Attorney General attorneys to investigate and provide expert opinions, expert reports, depositions, Daubert, Grand Jury & trial testimony for 91 air bag cases filed in Federal and State courts in 19 states (IL, Expert, CA, NY, VA, MN, PA, WI, LA, TX, Expert, GA, OK, OH, KY, Expert, NC, MI AND MS) against over 19 defendants (General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Jaguar, Volkswagen, Lexus, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi, Honda, BWM, Mazda, Subaru, Takata, TRW, Continental, Autoliv and numerous vehicle dealerships). These air bag cases include 25 General Motors defective ignition switch cases.

Expert analyzes and uses vehicle crash data downloaded by the Bosch CDR system to determine if frontal airbags should have deployed. He also locates, interviews and recommends experts to download crash data for case vehicles located throughout the U.S.

He also analyzes and uses Barrier Equivalent Velocities (BEV) calculated from frontal crush measurements to determine if frontal airbags should have deployed. He also locates, interviews and recommends experts to make frontal crush measurements and calculate BEVs for case vehicles located throughout the U.S.

Expert has examined over 25 defective ignition switch cases and determined if power loss prevented frontal airbag deployment.

He has provided 14 depositions and four court appearances in Federal and State courts. He has been qualified in Federal and State courts to testify about air bag issues.

Expert for Arizona Attorney General's wrongful death/personal injury case produced the largest fine-$ 1.8 million- against defendant in the history of the state of Arizona. Expert for Plaintiffs on wrongful death/personal injury case in Texas produced $10.5 million settlement. Expert for Plaintiffs in RCRA/CERCLA cases produced settlement of $ 27 million Expert for Plaintiffs in toxic tort case in Texas produced $ 27.5 million settlement.

These airbag systems include frontal (Single stage and Dual stage), seat-mounted side impact, side curtain & knee bolster, airbag control modules, seatbelt pretensioners and passenger sensing systems.
I have also examined over 25 defective ignition switch cases and determined if power loss prevented frontal airbag deployment.
I was previously retained Expert airbag expert by the Arizona Attorney General's office and testified before the Grand Jury fcase that resulted in the largest corporate criminal fine in Arizona history.
I have examined Takata frontal airbags that deployed defectively and the driver sustained injuries. I Expert familiar with how Takata airbag propellant containing ammonium nitrate can be damaged by cycling moisture and temperatures which cause excessive inflation gas production rate & peak canister pressure during airbag deployment with resulting canister rupture, production of shrapnel and injury to drivers.
I have provided 14 depositions and 4 court appearances in Federal and State courts. I have been qualified in Federal and State courts to testify about air bag issues.
