With work in both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis of olefin polymerization, an academic background in organometallic reaction mechanisms, and catalysis R&D work on heterogeneous catalysis of sodium borohydride hydrolysis, he has diverse background in catalysis.

His PhD work was exclusively focused on organometallic chemistry, including synthesis and mechanistic work related to homogeneous activation of carbon-hydrogen bonds. Added to this is his 10+ years of experience with Zieger-Natta polymerization catalysts and cocatalysts, along with his work on high purity metalorganics for MO CVD applications.
