Recently Expert found that it was necessary to challenge the decision of the Magistrates Courts concerning their behaviour towards him as an expert in court. This matter was heard in the High Courts, Central London and found in him favour. This is now a stated case and lists how the courts should treat experts in the law court throughout England and Wales. As such Expert firmly believes in the fairness of justice and that all wrongs should be corrected.

Expert formed TMC Assist with a view to providing a unique and expert service to the transport and haulage industry. The consultants employed by the company are in the main, retired police traffic patrol officers they use their individual experience and expertise to the benefit of the company's clients and the industry in general.

The company was the only firm of Transport Consultants that have been granted licensed access to Barristers by the Bar Council the list of services provided ranges from tachograph analysis, tachograph training for drivers and supervisors, the Working Time Directive, driver's daily inspections, the legal responsibilities for transport supervisors, dangerous goods safety advisor, accident investigation, insurance problems and providing expert evidence in the various courts within the United Kingdom including public inquiries and industrial tribunals.

It was identified at a very early stage that the majority of hauliers and transport managers were struggling to keep up with the changes in the legislation which created problems for transport managers and supervisors to be able to comply with their individual and company responsibilities. This is increasingly problematical with the influx of legislation imposed or proposed over the coming years and which includes the Manslaughter and Homicide Act, the Road Safety Bill in association with the Graduated Fixed Penalty Notices being issues by the DVSA which will result in instant fines of up to £600 per notice and penalty points being awarded to errant drivers. This will inevitably also result in drivers and companies being called to a Public Inquiry where drivers may loss their vocational licences for a period of time and companies may have their operator licence revoked, suspended or curtailed.

TMC initially addressed the problems generated from the tachograph requirements and regulations as a major priority as a large number of drivers or transport supervisors had no formal training with regards to their individual responsibilities or the myriad regulations required to be complied with. The introduction of the digital tachograph has created its own problems within the industry.

Successfully submitted a report identifying current legislation problems within the Transport Act when dealing with foreign drivers in the UK which was accepted by the Association of Chief Police Officers and the Department of Environment for Transport and Regions with a view to amending primary legislation. Vehicle Inspection/Engineering: Assisted the Road Transport Authority in Dubai with identifying and improving engineering standards of all road vehicles across the region.Identified arrears of non compliance in the transport industry, providing a consultancy service as well as training to more than 150 transport companies.Developed requisite plans related to the development of training requirements for operators of commercial vehicles and workshop facilities at a number of commercial vehicle operators and a number of Borough Council's in the UK.
