Expert's group specializes in the design of materials handling systems and conveyors of various types including: belt, roller, slider, overland, pipe, steep angle, screw, drag, bucket elevators and pneumatic. They also design specialty mobile machines (track, rail, and wheel mounted) including: stackers, reclaimers, snow loaders, mobile screening plants, self-unloading trains, self-unloading ships, ship unloaders and shiploaders. Their design experience also includes auxiliary process equipment, such as: truck and rail car loading and unloading systems, thaw sheds, dust collection and suppression systems, feeders, bins, hoppers, scales, mixers, screens, and crushers.
Some of the industries for which this group has applied these systems include: power, mining and quarrying, aggregate, grain, aluminum, steel, minerals processing, cement, pulp & paper, ports & intermodal terminals, chemical plants, concrete block and brick, ore heap leaching, refineries, hazardous waste, recycling & composting.
Additionally, this group has provided expert reports, opinions & testimony for cases involving antitrust, plant asset reappraisal, conveyor injuries, product liability, guarding, confined space, code compliance, equipment
failures, patent infringement, conveyor fires, and dust explosions. We have also conduct plant safety inspections.
Expert is a licensed engineer in six states. He is also an active member of the conveyor safety committee’s ASME B20.1, ASME B15.1 & CEMA.
Expert serves as Outgoing Chair of ASME B20.1 Safety Standard for Conveyors and Related Equipment. He is also outgoing Chair of the CEMA Bulk Safety Committee.
