Expert was until 2/2022 the Senior Director of NGS R+D at DNA Electronics (DNAe). Prior to that, he was the VP of Sequencing at a major research institute. He is involved with many aspects of the Illumina production sequencing pipeline (~ 30 HiSeq instruments). Until recently, he managed the entire instrument pipeline. As one of the world's largest next-generation DNA sequencing facilities, his research institute performs medically relevant experiments in human genome variation analysis (including the 1000 Genomes Project), cancer genome resequencing (ICGC), pathogen studies, transcriptomics, microRNA analysis, etc. His newest role involves assessment, acquisition, testing and development of all current and future DNA sequencing technologies; currently supported platforms include MiSeq, Pacbio and Ion Torrent in his R+D group and potentially an Oxford Nanopore instrument soon. As the local expert on NGS technology, he is very familiar with all the players in next-generation sequencing including Illumina, Life Technologies, Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Genia, Pacific Biosciences and Complete Genomics. He was the Senior Director of Research at a cutting edge biotech firm and advises two early-stage next-generation sequencing companies.

Lastly, he provides consulting services for all the major players in expert consultancy, so he is very experienced in all aspects of telephone consulting for both investors and analysts, not the least being adherence to regulatory restrictions.

He has consulted for all the large expert networks on the DNA analysis business including about 150 phone calls to investors and analysts at many of the top firms.Patent advice to lawyers and companies - claims analysis, prosecution, interference, etc.
