Pharmacy professional association: Wrote a white paper and created a resource database on US drug payment methods; Updated both white paper and database, results of which were posted to the AMCP website in August 2009. Serve on Editorial Advisory Board of this association’s peer-reviewed journal.

Intellectual property: Prepared expert reports and reply reports in two Hatch-Waxman Paragraph IV (prescription pharmaceutical) intellectual property cases, and was deposed in one of these cases.

In the area of prescription drugs, Expert has experience developing contracts with pharmacy benefit management companies and third party payers e.g. managed care organizations. He also monitors drug spending and drug trends to identify areas in which intervention may provide better control. Expert advises pharmaceutical manufacturers on both of the pharmaceutical markets: channel, i.e. distributors, group purchasing organizations, retail pharmacy chains, specialty pharmacies & PBM’s and the payers, i.e. managed care organizations, employers and business coalitions. He has focused on injectable and oral pharmaceutical formulations from all perspectives (manufacturer, channel and payer) in the areas of oncology, rheumatology and dialysis. He assists manufacturers on understanding and quantifying market access issues for particular pharmaceuticals and develops new marketing approaches.
