Mr. S. C. Expert has a Master of Technology degree in applied physics. He has more than 25 years experience in the design and development of electric motors and generators for commercial and military applications. Among several hundred machines he has designed are frequency converters, AC synchronous, permanent magnet machines from 1 kw/hp to 10,000 kw/hp range. Machines range from air-cooled to liquid-cooled and from DC to AC 60 to 10,000 Hz. His expertise includes voltage regulators, fast battery chargers, electronic controls interfacing with electric machines, and generators for wind energy systems and hybrid vehicle applications. He has patents on axially laminated reluctance machine and variable speed constant frequency doubly fed machine for wind generator application.

He is in charge of product development, which includes the design and fabrication of prototypes for machines for special applications. For various companies, he has developed design programs and software for machines. The latest addition to his design capability is the design and optimization of single-phase capacitor excited brushless generators.

Expert has about 25 years of experience as the Vice President of Engineering departments at several companies.

Expert holds a patent on variable speed constant frequency generators of wind power applications. He has also done research and development projects for NASA.

Expert consulted for Miller Electric Company in Appleton, WI. He was responsible for the
design of welding generators and permanent magnet (PM) DC motors for a wire feed application. He has consulted on the development of high speed generators for turbine-driven applications (solar Turbines). He was a consultant for Capstone Corp., on the design of generators for microturbine applications. He was a consultant for Toyota USA where he assisted with the development of generators for microturbine-driven systems. For T&J Manufacturing, he designed several single-phase brushless generators for commercial applications. He also developed a Variable Speed Constant Frequency (VSCF) system consisting of a permanent magnet generator and inverter for an army portable power plant program.

Expert may consult nationally and internationally, and is also local to the following cities: Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Madison, Wisconsin - Green Bay, Wisconsin - Racine, Wisconsin - Appleton, Wisconsin - Waukesha, Wisconsin - Oshkosh, Wisconsin - Sheboygan, Wisconsin
