Expert is an ophthalmologist, with subspecialty training in cornea, refractive surgery, and cornea & external disease. He performs Cataract removal with lens implantation, LASIK laser refractive surgery, Corneal Transplants, Laser surgery and PRELEX multifocal lens implantation for those with bifocal or reading glasses to correct vision at both near and far distances. He consults on diseases of the eye, with concentration on the cornea and external disease. He also treats glaucoma with medications and surgery.

As a regional medical director of a major eye service center, he performs cataract, refractive and cornea transplantation surgeries. He is certified with the VISX S4 (CustomVue), Bausch and Lomb Technolas, and Alcon Summit Apex Plus excimer lasers as well a Nidek, Chiron ACS, and Hansotome keratomes. He is an organizer and lecturer for the Ophthalmology rotation at a major teaching hospital and medical school.

He also developed Microsoft Access databases to track cataract & refractive surgeries, patient surveys, staff photos/information, and intraocular lens calculations at his present eye clinic. He also developed patient education videos and DVDs for practice. He has special training in lemellar refractive surgery, excimer laser keratotomy, phototherapeutic excimer laser keratotomy, radial and astigmatic keratotomy and descemetrohexis course (DSEK).

CORNEA: His expertise include investigating recurrent corneal erosions using amoils epithelial scrubbers, corneal allografts protection, corneal tissue transplantation from a blind eye, bilateral penetrating keratoplasty, clear cornea cataract surgery, descemetrohexis, failure of corneal allografts treatment, and co-stimulatory signal blocker.

EYE/VISION: His experience include in vitro alteration of Schirmer’s tear, eye wetting, anesthetic agents to treat eye conditions, pneumotonometry, LASIK candidacy – requirements and criteria, near contrast sensitivity and various other eye disease and conditions. He is experienced with near vision, vision sensitivity, photorefractive keratectomy on vision and numerous other topics involving vision.

GLAUCOMA: His experience includes clinical experience with Baerveldt implant in complicated glaucomas, glaucoma exams and digital cheat sheets, and various other topics involving glaucoma related issues.
