Expert has over 25 years of experience providing clinical treatment, case consultation and program planning and development services. He is board certified in general psychiatry and in child/adolescent psychiatry. He has consulted locally and nationally to private businesses, health insurance companies, and to public social services, corrections, public health and mental health organizations. He has done extensive forensic work in criminal and civil litigation, providing evaluations and expert testimony regarding issues of criminal law, diminished capacity, insanity defense, workplace violence, employee risk assessment, competency and malpractice.

He is fully trained in diagnosing all types of psychopathology, and in psychotherapy, medication management, neurobiological issues, and mental impairment. He assists companies in developing lifestyle wellness plans for employees that reduce absenteeism and improve productivity. He is past president of the Minnesota Psychiatric Society and the Minnesota Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and is a clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of Minnesota.

Expert provided psychiatric consultation to a large medical center that included case consultation to psychologists and social workers, patient evaluation and treatment and the development of a plan to integrate mental health services into the primary health care clinic.Expert provided psychiatric consultation to a specific counties social services, assisting Child Protection workers in formulating case plans for parents and/or children who suffered from psychiatric disorders.Expert provided psychiatric consultation to the a health insurance company, focusing on improving mental health services provided by primary care physicians and on integrating mental health services with primary medicine. He provided oversight of psychiatric inpatient admission utilization and analysis of
factors leading to patient hospitalization. He provided recommendations for improved outpatient services and methods to reduce the need for psychiatric hospitalization

establishing protocols for clinical services for complex county clientele (e.g. dual diagnosis child protection parents), establishing the Improvement project for mental health and chemical health outcome data
analysis, providing assistance with the expansion of Wellness prevention and early intervention services,
