Expert has completed a general Neurology residency at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine, and a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at the same institution. UMD is also a specialty center in the diagnosis and treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. While there, Expert along with two professors identified three patients with a new disease, similar to MS, Relapsing Transverse Myelitis. They reported this new syndrome in the journal Neurology. Expert diagnosed and treated a young man with the rare condition of Foreign-Accent Syndrome, a condition first reported in the 1940's but only a handful in total have been reported. Expert was involved in the Epilepsy surgery program at University of Maryland. While in private practice for over twenty years Expert had a neurology practice of over two thousand patients. He had a large group of dementia patients, Migraine headache patients and a special following of Trigeminal Neuralgia patients. Dr. Tipprtt suffered from Migraine headaches from childhood and tried all the Triptans as well as some Preventatives himself. In June 2009 he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and spent six months in the hospital. So, he has experience on both sides of the exam table. In addition, Expert mas been co-chairman of an ethics committee and has lectured ethics, written a chapter about Medical ethics and ventilator dependency. Expert has special interest in consciousness and memory dating back to his Jr. High School Science Fair project (for which he won first place in his school and county). Expert has also served as Chairman of a Neurology Dept. at a private hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

While in Private practice, Expert developed a large following of dementia patients and their families. Expert started using the Rx medications as soon as they were available and used them all over the years. When Namenda became available, he would routinely add it to the regimen when appropriate. Expert used a battery of blood tests, imaging studies and lumbar punctures to make a diagnosis and plan of care.

Consulted on several personal injury cases with lawyers in Baltimore area. This consisted of record review, written reports and depositionsI have consulted by phone in the past. Where I client would ask me questions in an interview style.I gave a presentation with slides to a pharmaceutical group, followed by questions about a disease topic and approach to detailing physicians
