Expert has more than 14 years experience developing and working with electronic medical record software, including developing healthcare information technology products (medical surgical, critical care) in the form of clinical information and end-user (nursing, physician) tools at the point of care. He has conceptualized, developed, led the development of health information technology and clinical/medical informatics products (including fuzzy logic) that have received FDA 510(k) clearance. He has written two books on the subject of integrating medical device data into electronic medical record systems and the use of medical device data to support medical and clinical informatics. Expert holds 6 US Patents in areas related to medical technology, informatics methods, and electronic medical record components at the point of care.
Expert has more than 28 years experience in modeling and simulation of complex systems, to include discrete event simulation techniques, Monte Carlo simulation, Queueing theory, and application of these techniques in industry. His second book, which focuses on the the use of mathematical techniques and their use in clinical decision making, provides numerous examples of mathematical and modeling methods and applications in live clinical environments.
