Expert is the sort of engineer who has difficulty describing what field he is in, because the list is so large. He designed and developed a variety of electronic devices, industrial control systems. He has programmed industrial controllers and operator displays and interfaces and developed new mineral separation devices and designed new pumping control techniques.

It is because he has designed such a variety of things that he has become a very capable troubleshooter able to track down the cause of the trouble or the faulty component in hundreds of different machines and processes. He is not restricted to electrical, electronic or mechanical aspects because he can go to wherever the problem is and prove it, and then guide the repair action to restore the machine or process to successful operation.

His experience, knowledge and background also enable him to make suggestions for improvements and changes that can be made to make things better than before. His track record of almost no repeat calls for the same problem speaks well of his abilities to properly identify the real problem, but also his ability to make the correct repairs. His track record of success in troubleshooting makes it a dead certainty he will get things running again.

Expert's Electronic Engineering Degree gave him extensive theoretical support for his very practical abilities and curiosity in how things work. He is very interested in finding out about any new area he gets into and usually picks it up quickly and goes on to develop new designs. He designed the digital interface receivers for the Integrated Light-Attack Avionics System (ILAAS) in 1968 for the US Navy A6A Corsair and his design was also carried over unchanged into the Navy A7 aircraft Heads Up Display (HUD).

He has made significant contributions and patentable processes in mineral beneficiation. His designs for shape separation processing were installed at the Tanner Mine in Arizona 1979.

He designed and proved the new patented multi-field electrostatic separator for the tobacco industry 1982. He designed and developed a self adjusting pump speed control called Flowtracker for the wastewater industry leader EG Pump Controls 1987.

Expert now has his own consulting company, Expert Electronics, Inc., where he provides his talents, experience and abilities to many industrial activities including electronic control design, system design, PLC programming, operator interface design, machine troubleshooting, NC mill and lathe service and repair, new machine installation and high voltage power supply design for separators.

Expert has been entirely successful in all the activities he has undertaken, without exception.

West Palm Beach, Florida; designed the original program that 'dances' the Centennial Fountain, 17 zones in a triangle pattern of jets that rise out of the pavement, to the delight of children and adults who can play in the fountain. Subsequent commissions for additional fountain dancing with music successfully performed, 1994 - presJacksonville, Florida; successfully carried out the electronic design, build, programming and installation of 1) Single-Lead bonding machine, 2) dieonized water processing plant control, 3) deionized water flow meter and monitoring panel with leak alarm, 4) "B" pillar alignment machine, 5) Box printing machine, 6) automatic paper turn-up machine for paper plants, 7) New pumping scheme to couple a mercury manometer to variable-frequency drives, 8) replacement of obsolete PLC's with new PLC's and new programs, many locationsLa Paz, Mexico; trouble-shot bin dumper machine, got manual mode working, but then went on to correct programming problems that prevented automatic operation from working. They never knew they had automatic mode, but they did before Expert left. Client was thrilledSierra Leone, West Africa; installed, commissioned and trained personnel on an extension to the rutile mine at Sierra Rutile. Expert had previously headed up the whole project from the start, tested mine sample material in the lab, specified the process equipment, designed the mechanical layout in the plant and its extension, and installed it as designed. One year later the mine reported that the line was now producing twice its rated output capacity.Orissa, India, solved all the problems and started up all the wet and dry processes at the new beach-sand processing plant, trained operators. Also startups in Brazil, Italy, Canada, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and others
