As a consultant, Expert can lend experience-backed technical assistance in cost-effective installations of process piping system assemblies, either by verifying compliance with a design package or by modifying a design package as required to ease constructability and control costs.

Expert has over 25 years' experience related in industrial piping and mechanical systems. He has worked as independent contractor since 1981, filling positions from construction administrator to construction manager, field superintendent, project manager, field engineer, design supervisor, designer, checker, expediter, estimator, group leader, draftsman, with the above experience equally divided between office and field.

His multi-industrial background includes Food, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power (Nuclear and Fossil), Semiconductor (Clean Room) and Steelmaking. He has worked for Consulting Engineers and Piping Contractors.

Expert's multi-faceted project background includes experience in grass roots projects, existing plant expansions and existing plant retrofits.

In recent years, Expert has worked primarily as Technical Buyer / Materials Manager / Construction Administrator / Client Representative. Responsibilities have included preparing technical bid evaluations for contracted services, photo-documenting incoming materials and signing delivery orders, coordinating contractor activity, assuring compliance with design specifications while documenting changes as necessary, monitoring contractor safe work practices, and tracking contractor performance against schedule and costs. Recently he has resolved RFI's and FCR's in the field, assembled Systems Turnover packages, and tracked punch list resolution using Fluor’s Complete-It proprietary software.

His expertise also includes detailed mechanical piping layout to meet criteria established by a client’s process flow diagram. He has expertise detailing isometric fabrication drawing to meet criteria established by a mechanical piping layout coupled with plant layout of process equipment.

He is capable of documenting savings of 30% of piping construction cost using minimum detail layout. Expert is capable of 3 levels of piping detail in excess of minimum detail, each level enabling greater percentage in cost effective shop fabrication, while incrementally decreasing construction cost. He has additional experience in sanitary food process piping as well as other industrial process piping applications.
