Request Expert

Expert is based in the UK and has lived and worked in the U.S., France, and South Africa. He is currently managing director of an international industrial marketing and strategy consulting firm with offices in London and Pittsburgh.

Expert has led projects in a variety of industries but has concentrated on the engineering and steel sectors. Over the last 25 years he has led major project assignments for companies in the UK, Sweden, Finland, France, Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Russia, India and the United States. The range of assignments has covered the creation of joint ventures, overall marketing and strategy investigations, and detail support in product, market and management development.

Projects have been undertaken in practically all types of steel product ranging from tool steel to galvanized sheets, and in all the major western markets.

Before starting consulting in 1979, Expert had an extensive career in general and project management in the construction industry, first as the site manager for projects up to $50 million for 3 years in South Africa, and then as a project manager in multi-disciplinary design in the UK, Algeria, and France for 5 years. He was also General Manager for 2 years of a mechanical engineering company in France.

Expert obtained an MBA with distinction in 1975. He is a chartered engineer (CEng), has an honours degree in Civil Engineering from Imperial College, London University (1965), and studied Industrial Management at Cambridge University in 1965-6.
