Expert is known as the most experienced no-cut, no-flap, all-laser eye surgeon in his region. He was the first laser surgeon to stop performing the older LASIK procedure, successfully replacing the procedure with the latest and more modern, safer, less invasive, no-cut, no-flap, all-laser LASEK and epi-LASAK procedure for the best eye surgery satisfaction in his area of practice. He performs over 1,000 eye surgery procedures each year and over 11,000 procedures including LASIK, LASEK, PTK, PRK, AK and PK since the beginning of his career. His results include 20/20 or better vision for all his customers.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He received his M.D. from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeon and completed his residency at Harvard University’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. He completed additional fellowship training in corneal transplantation and refractive surgery at Emory University.

Besides practicing as an ophthalmologist, he is a professor at Harvard and also teaches and trains dozens of ophthalmologists on LASIK procedures and LASEK and epi-LASEK techniques in the US and internationally (India, China, Taiwan, and Ukraine).

He has performed extensive clinical research in laser vision correction. Most of his articles contain information about Hyperopic LASIK, hyperopic PRK, re-treatment one year after photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) for myopia, refractive surgery, Holmium Laser Thermokeratoplasty (LTK) for hyperopia surgery, bilateral laser in-situ, LASIK laser vision correction. He has also written about upcoming techniques in vision correction, cataract surgical techniques and cornea and external disease.

He has consulted for several financial and medical companies and corporations (see consulting experiences for more details).

He also consulted for a financial group providing equities research for $1 billion hedge fund, specializing in short positions in ophthalmology-related companies. He has worked as a consultant in the medical field providing expert medical opinions on medical malpractice, HMO claims and denial-of-payments for a medical care management corporation. He also served as a senior medical consultant and physician liaison for a medical company initiating an MD-MD marketing and sales program as well as refining Internet search algorithms while serving on the Medical Advisory Board. He also consulted and assisted with human clinical FDA trials of second-generation solid-state laser as a Principal investigator for a major medical corporation.
