Expert serves on the USDA Agricultural Air Quality Task Force (AAQTF). For last 20 years, he has conducted research and outreach activities on animal waste and mortality management, air emission from livestock production facility and land application of manure. His activities have also included water quality monitoring of feedlot runoff as well as dust/Particulate Matter (PM) emissions from livestock and agricultural practices.

Recently, Expert worked with USDA-APHIS as a consultant to manage poultry mortality due to AI.

Worked with USDA-APHIS and provided technical service on mortality composting in 2015.
