Published article explaining issues surrounding and correct technique for optimal aquarium photographs. Extensive use of numerous digital cameras (after giving up on film cameras!). Wrote image processing software to allow rapid optimization of acquired images.

Extensive experience soliciting requirements from users, consolidating requirements into concise requirements statements, and creating prototype software that can morph into final application. Some clients, when confronted with the initial prototype decided that the project was basically finished.

Original training was in object oriented design, with data flow diagrams and the like. The latest software development languages allow for an easy transition from the design to implementation. In fact, often one can create OO prototypes in the middle of the design. Design, software engineering, systems engineering, and requirements analysis are all inter-twined, so that one cannot do one well without doing them all well.

Assembled engines, diagnosed design flaws, fixed design flaws, wrote custom software to accept and analyze real-time engine data, resulting in power measurements using two different theoretical approaches.
