Request Expert

Expert has been involved in design engineering, machine design, and manufacturing for over 40 years. This experience has included positions as chief engineer of companies producing automotive lifts, and ownership of manufacturing companies which produced truck bodies and construction equipment. The products involved were both mechanically and hydraulically actuated. Examples include tow trucks, car carriers, water truck bodies, auto lifts, clamshells, scrap grapples, loader buckets, greenwaste buckets, excavator buckets, and rock tongs. Expert was directly involved in the design of these products, in addition to the development, fabrication, installation, and servicing of these products. As a consultant, Expert has experience with projects involving trash trucks, forklifts, car haulers, towtrucks, scissor lifts, telescopic handlers, dockside lifting fixtures, compact loaders, forestry mowers, speedboat trim tabs, motorcycle lifts, vehicle parking lifts, floor jacks, trash bailers, trailer design, pipeline construction equipment, truck liftgates, hydraulic elevators, thermal analysis of hydraulic systems, and auto lifts.

As a technical expert for a legal case, he analyzed the trajectory of a part which dislodged from a towtruck and injured a client of a towing company. He testified in court in the subsequent personal injury lawsuit, and his client won this case.He carried out a forensic analysis of the hydraulic and mechanical design of a car hauler tractor trailer to determine the cause of a failure which resulted in the death of the operator. He analyzed the design of a two post above ground auto lift to determine the reasons for its failure and the resulting damage to a vehicle being serviced on the lift.He determined the cause of a hydro-mechanical failure in a trash truck which resulted in the death of a mechanic who was repairing the truck. He carried out a thermal analysis of the hydraulic system for a trash truck to determine the cause of overheating and hydraulic system failure.
