The expert is internationally known in the area of powder processing, including ceramic, metal, and glass powder processing. He is the Director of the Powder Technology Laboratory and has numerous publications on the subject.

The expert is one of the world leading specialists in sintering. He is the author of the continuum theory of sintering, which enables the prediction of sintering-imposed shape distortions and density distributions. He has published numerous scientific papers on the fundamentals of sintering processes.

The expert has in-depth knowledge of fracture mechanics. He has published scientific papers developing fracture mechanics concepts. He has taught a number of undergraduate and graduate classes involving fracture mechanics.

The expert has extensive research, industrial, and technical consulting experience in machine design. He has taught undergraduate classes on advanced machine design, engineering design: mechanical components, etc. He has in-depth knowledge of machine tooling.

The expert is the Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

The expert is an internationally recognized specialist in powder metallurgy. He has published numerous scientific papers on the fundamental aspects of sintering, pressing, electro-deposition of powder materials, powder atomization, and characterization of powder-based materials.
