He has an expert knowledge in the theory, design, and industrial applications of membrane processes such as reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, microfiltration, and pervaporation. He is familiar with other liquid phase membrane systems, including nanofiltration, dialysis, and electrodialysis, as well as gas phase membrane systems and gas permeation. He is a specialist in how to select the correct membrane process for the particular separation, purification, or concentration desired. He teaches courses and conducts seminars on membrane technology for industry and government.
