As Manager of Advanced Manufacturing for Allied-Signal, Inc., Expert achieved critical time-to-market objectives by moving innovative state-of-the-art prototype lab stage processes to production in 18 months. Additional accomplishments include the successful commercial development of embryonic specialty chemicals, engineering plastics, and electronic product technologies as well as the general management of a worldwide specialty chemicals business. He participated in product, process, and business development in support of businesses serving diverse industries including electrical, electronic, automotive, aerospace, metal finishing, industrial waste treatment, and pharmaceutical. He is familiar with strategic planning for businesses operating in embryonic, growth, mature, and declining markets. Expert has negotiated, executed, and managed domestic and international joint development, licensing, raw materials supply, and contract manufacturing agreements.

COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE; TECHNOLOGY EVALUATION. Experience with accessing a product's manufacturing processes, competitive technology, and market potentia, Expert can recommend appropriate strategies for the development of new technologies. Projects he has been involved with include engineering plastics (PBT, polybutylene, epoxy, etc.), copper foils, urethane crosslinkers, flexible circuitry, imaging resists, immobilized bioreactors for waste treatment, specialty adsorbents, optical polymers, and other technologies.

INTERNATIONAL CONTRACT NEGOTIATION. Expert was directly responsible for negotiating, executing, and managing license agreements involving transfer of technology to major Japanese manufacturers. He negotiated and executed contract manufacture (outsourcing) of sub-assemblies by Japanese manufacturers.

PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD MATERIAL; PRINTED WIRING INDUSTRY PLATING PROCESS. Expert led a team that developed a novel line of screen printable UV curable solder masks and commercialized a novel liquid photoimageable solder masking system. After conducting market research, financial analyses, and technology assessments, Expert estimated the feasibility of a worldwide joint venture to commercialize processes for the manufacture of flexible printed circuitry. In addition, he has managed a worldwide printed circuit board systems business, i.e., plating and imaging systems.

POLYMERS; POLYMER ADDITIVES; PLASTIC INTEGRATED CIRCUIT PACKAGING.
Expert is familiar with thermosetting and thermoplastic resins and molding compounds, fillers, reinforcements, and additives. He is also knowledgeable of materials, manufacturing processes, applications processes, and characterization. Expert conducted market research and led a development team responsible for the successful commercialization of novel hardened epoxy encapsulants for integrated circuits. He led product R&D which included phenolic, urea, melamine, polyester, diallylphthalate, epoxy, and nylon molding compounds.
