Request Expert

Ms. Expert, CRNA has over 20 years of experience in nursing of which 13 years has been spent as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). Ms. Expert completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN in 1992 and held positions as a staff RN and nurse staff educator. She graduated from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2003 with a Master’s in nurse anesthesia. She took a position as a staff CRNA following graduation and worked continuously for 10 years. During that time, Ms. Expert also worked as adjunct faculty member in the nurse anesthesia program at the Minneapolis School of Anesthesia in St. Louis Park, MN from 2006 to 2013. She taught classes on various topics in nurse anesthesia and was responsible for curriculum development and student evaluation. She was also involved in clinical precepting and evaluation of student nurse anesthetists rotating at North Memorial Medical Center.
In October of 2013, Ms. Expert assumed the position of manager of the anesthesia department at North Memorial Medical Center and was responsible for managing, credentialing and hiring of all CRNAs. Ms. Expert was also responsible for managing nurse anesthesia practice. Currently, Ms. Expert is Director of Surgical Services at North Memorial Medical Center and is responsible for all surgical and procedural services provided at the hospital including anesthesia, surgery, preoperative and postoperative care and sterile processing. She also serves as chair of the Allied Health Credentialing committee that reviews and recommends credentialing for all advanced practice providers (CRNAs, physician assistants and nurse practitioners) practicing at North Memorial Medical Center.
