He was an associate with Interactive Capital, a New York-based venture capital firm investing in early-stage Internet and communications companies and spent several years as a strategy consultant with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), providing strategic marketing advice to Fortune 100 companies and developing business plans for new ventures (including what is now Travelocity). He graduated from Yale University magna cum laude with a BA in Economics in three years.
