Expert is an ophthalmologist specializing in corneal, cataract and refractive surgery. He tratined at the University of Michigan and served as an Assistant professer for 5 years. he is now in practice in Toledo, OH and Brighton, MI and serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toledo. He has authored many peer-reviewed articles in journals and written a number of book chapters and has lectured at local, state and national ophthalmic meetings. His publications have included original papers on corneal and cataract surgery as well as molecular genetics. He subspecializes in corneal transplantation and refractive surgery and has set up his own ophthalmic laser facility. Although he treats patients with a wide variety of problems, he further subspecializes in complex corneal and lens surgery and reconstruction. He further serves as an associate medical director for the Michigan and Midwest Eye Bank.
