The publication of an internationally successful book on the Principles of Diagnostic Techniques in Plant Pathology for CAB International has been followed by two editions of a popular book on pests and diseases, The Gardener's Book of Pests and Diseases for BT Batsford and Armillaria root rot: Biology and Control (Intercept Publishers) that have also been sold internationally.

Research: Expert has advised on the cultivation of a number of edible mushroom fungi including truffle fungi.
