Expert's background includes more than 18 years of experience including catalyst research in support of polyethylene manufacturing, additive stabilization of polymers, interaction of chemicals with plastics, extrusion production of plastic pipe, plastic pipe material technical service and plastic pipe system component testing. As a result of those efforts, expert holds several US patents, has published several technical papers and has authored a technical standard for ASTM International. End use applications encompassed in his expertise include corrugated (structural) plastic pipe, water distribution and plumbing systems, oil and gas production, gas distribution, and conduit. Expert participates in several industry organizations including API, SPE, PPI, CSA, AGA, AWWA and ASME and is the chair of ASTM F17.61 Subcommittee on Water Piping Systems.

Expert was employed as technical director of a plastics material testing laboratory for more than 18 months and has directed the work of others on a broad array of ASTM and ISO test methods as applied to various plastic materials.
