|Expert Witness Experience|
| Expert witness for the plaintiffs in a class action pertaining to polypropylene Marlex mesh which is implanted in the body. I prepared expert reports for my client showing that the material chosen was unsuitable for the application. I was also able to show that opposing experts were incorrect or untruthful in their statements. In addition I was interviewed on 60 Minutes by Scott Pelley about the polypropylene mesh. We showed that the mesh being implanted now is not the original, FDA approved Marlex but a counterfeit product. I was also deposed in relation to the case. We settled about 9000 cases out of court for a very substantial amount. I have collected over 400 articles and other documents in order to lend strong support to my opinions. I found and co-ordinated a team of experts regarding the polypropylene material, The defendants were Boston Scientific and Bard but I also did research on the Ethicon products.
He advised on a patent case pertaining to polymer crystallization. This was settled out of court.
