Expert has a PhD is Polymer Chemistry from the University of Akron where he worked on the anionic polymerization of block copolymers. During his industrial career, he developed considerable expertise with thermoset resins. In polyurethanes, he has worked on coatings, adhesives, flexible and rigid foams. In epoxy resins, he worked on toughened epoxy resins and water based coatings.

He has considerable experience with automotive coatings and adhesives.


Currently retained as a technical expert on behalf of Wilson Sporting Goods for litigation involving the materials of construction for sporting goods.Retained as a technical expert for lawsuits on behalf of Oscoda Plastics involving epoxy adhesives used for commercial flooring. He gave a deposition in 2011.Retained as an expert witness on behalf of Guardian Industries in trade secret and patent lawsuits involving automotive glass bonding. He participated in a Markman hearing in 2010 and gave a deposition in March 2009. Submitted a Declaration on behalf of Pilkington North America for a patent reexamination involving automotive glass bonding adhesives. (2009)Retained as a technical expert in a lawsuit on behalf of BASF involving pipeline foam insulation products. (2007)Retained as a consultant by Taser International (Scottsdale, AZ) to evaluate adhesives and bonding of plastics for their personal protection systems.
