Since his PhD in power electronics, Expert has been working on power converters for over 20 years.
These works has been done in academic labs ( Expert is also a power electronics teacher in a French Graduate School in Electrical Engineering and is member of it's research lab) and as a private consultant for companies such as Schlumberger, Zodiac aerospace, Delphi, etc ...
For example, in the last two years, the works and studies have been about :
AC-DC 300 W converter with PFC and low voltage output for Avionic application (full design),
AC-AC 20 kW converter for lightning application (full design),
DC-DC 200 W converter, with resonant topology for harsh environment for petroleum application (basis of the design),
Evaluation of solar supplied equipment for lightning applications (consultancy),
Evaluation of solutions for DC-DC converters for automotive application (consultancy),
Design of a 500 W DC-DC converter for automotive application (basis of the design),
Design of solid state relays, fully auto protected, for avionic application (full design).

Example of a AC-DC converter for avionic application :
The overall topology from input to input is made of a EMI filter, a PFC and a 2 Q DC-DC converter to provide a regulated 80 V output voltage to the load and insure energy rejection from the load towards the input. A low power Flyback is also included in the design.
In this converter, Expert has designed (topology choices, power devices selection, thermal design, control of the structure and EMC aspects), tested and furnished a mock up of the converter.
