For years, he was involved in governments agencies and authorities to find acceptable solutions to disposal in river and seas.
He was responsible, initiator and developer of NEUTREC process which treat mainly municipal flue gas from incinerator and flue gas from power plant with bicarbonate and recycle the solid solt resulting of treatment.
The business is now larger than 100 000 t bicarbonate per year.
Carbon dioxide absorption is a frequent step in soda ash industry.
So the expert has a large experience in the field of absorption of CO2 in caustic soda, potassium hydroxide, soda ash solution and ammonia solution.
He was director of new business development at corporate level and responsible for the inorganic part.
One of the main project was the management of a large European project for the treatment of drinking water and waste water with a new product called sodium or potassium ferrate ( Fe6+) in cooperation with 4 universities and 4 chemical companies.
For 15 years he participated in the contact with the pharmaceutical industry to establish the procedures and the quality control.
In particular, he was deeply involved in the new technology of dialysis of the major actors and the move to solid inorganic chemicals and specifically sodium bicarbonate and sodium chloride in solid granular form.
This is a very important business in terms of volume, price, quality and assistance to pharmaceutical customers.
From 2000 to 2007, the stage gate process was the standard methodology used in Solvay's development.
