Expert is presently a State Epidemiologist. He received an MD degree from the University of Paris, France, Medical School, specializing in tropical medicine, microbiology and immunology. Later he obtained a MS in Parasitology from LSU Medical Center, New Orleans and an MPH&TM from Tulane University and did a residency of preventive medicine (public health) in Texas. He is board certified in preventive medicine. Expert worked 38 years in public health, mostly in communicable disease control programs, in malaria and leprosy control in Vanuatu, leprosy control in Texas, tuberculosis and STD in Louisiana, tuberculosis in North Carolina, schistosomiasis in Cameroon, hospital infection control in Saudi Arabia. He has also taught infectious disease epidemiology at the University of South Florida School of Public Health in Tampa, Florida and presently at the Louisiana State University School of Public Health.
