Formed his company in December 1985. Contracted services for over 10 years to several auction companies including Ross-Dove Co. where, as Senior Vice President was charged with developing a real estate; government and financial instruments auction division. Created the Grubb & Ellis/Ross-Dove Real Estate Auction Partnership and the Paine Webber/Ross-Dove Loan Portfolio Co-Venture. These two entities were major sub contractors to the FDIC, RTC and major Banks and Financial Institutions for the disposal of their non-performing real estate and loans. Hundreds of real estate and loan auctions were conducted over a six-year period.
Projects included: The FDIC National Commercial Real Estate Auction in December 1991 and again in December 1992 and the G&E/RDC Multi-Owner Commercial Real Estate Auction in May 1992. These three auctions produced sales of $834 Million Dollars and were the three largest single event auctions ever conducted and the first to use International Interactive Satellite technology. The three RTC Loan auctions signed and produced brought in sales of almost $500 million.
Formed Colliers International–Heritage Global Partners – Becker Iron and Metal Strategic Alliance in 2013 for the purpose of combining the expertise of these three world class companies. The agreement with Heritage and Becker gives Colliers a unique perspective and advantage in distressed market assets and gives them access to live onsite as well as global real estate and capital asset auctions. The Alliance can acquire industrial real estate, turnkey facilities, and surplus equipment worldwide plus is able to do demolition and recycling of the property in order to repurpose the facility.
Currently continuing to operate his company as a business development, sales and marketing consultancy specializing in the metals and auction industries in the U.S. and Asia.
