Expert was formerly a Ph.D. research assistant at the Center of Quality Engineering and Failure Prevention at Northwestern University, where he participated in developing an ultrafast ultrasonic system to nondestructively characterize the mechanical and thermal performances of ultrahard coating materials. Expert also obtained a M.S. degree in Acoustics, specifically in Ultrasonics. He has solid knowledge and expertise in ultrasonic inspection and NDT, bulk wave and surface wave tests, wave propagation and acoustics.
Expert specializes in mechanical testing and failure analysis of solid materials based on his academic research and practical engineering experiences. Having an in-depth understanding of mechanical, thermal, and electronic properties of materials, Expert has extensive experience in the nondestructive evaluation, health monitoring, and mechanical testing of various materials, including composites, alloys, coatings, and polymers. Expert’s background also includes experience in the acoustics, micro-fabrication, stress analysis, and engineering dynamics of materials.
