Expert. Expert has an advanced degree in Applied Statistics from the University of Oxford. He has taught statistics for over 20 years and has been consulted by researchers (for grants and papers). He has written articles on statistical methodology & reporting and has serverd as a reviewer for book proposals. He has used a number of statistical software packages including SPSS and Minitab, and more recently R and RExcel for doing analyses and advanced graphics (ggplot2, also SigmaPlot for graphics). His general approach has largely been a frequentist - in significance testing, but with special emphasis on effect size and confidence intervals. He has experience in likelihood ratios and some experience with Bayesian methods and credibility intervals. He has experience in time-series analysis (including Fast Fourier transform of sequential data), multivariate methods especially multiple regression and principal components analysis, multilevel models, ANCOVA, MANOVA and ANOVA (all with respect to the general linear model).

Expert has experience with most statistical methods, including Monte Carlo sampling and bootstrapping. He also has a PhD in neuropharmacology and has published numerous research papers in neurobiology, sense of touch and the skin.
