Expert is an associate professor of Biostatistics in one of the top departments in the country. His primary area of expertise is spatial statistics and its application to air pollution and environmental epidemiology. His peer-reviewed research has been published in high impact Statistics, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, and Epidemiology journals, and he is sought after as an international authority on statistical methods for air pollution cohort studies. His current methodological projects include spatio-temporal exposure modeling; measurement error correction; dimension reduction for spatially misaligned data; optimal exposure prediction modeling for health effect inference; and control for unmeasured spatial and/or temporal confounding. In addition to his research in air pollution, Expert is currently collaborating on genome-wide association studies, cardiovascular disease in patients with chronic kidney disease, and optimization of HIV treatment regimes in Africa. Expert has a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, and prior to coming to Employer, he worked at MIT Lincoln Laboratory for seven years, where he engaged in mathematical modeling and policy consulting on national security issues.
