Expert's main career for about 18 years was maintenance, initially in Mumbai (Mukand Ltd) as Assistant Engineer, later in Delhi as Plant Engineer (in charge of electrical and mechanical - Rathi Alloys) and then as Chief Electrical Engineer / Maintenance Superintendent in Surabaya, Indonesia (PT Ispat Indo). Afterwards, in India, for about 5 years he was working as a freelance troubleshooter especially in DC drives and control systems.
Expert has long experience in Maintenance, planned maintenance, preventive maintenance, total productive maintenance and during the career was very much involve in maintenance planning.
Expert takes up the product design as a challenge - especially special purpose machines. The customer's requirement is the starting point. The special cooling bed, a special in-line-resistance heating system for wire rod to wire rod hot-rolling, a new oil sludge cleaning system which is already in operation etc. are some of highlights. Apart from special purpose machines, Expert had designed equipment for steel and metallurgical plants. Recently he had designed and made annealing furnaces, Aluminum melting furnaces, continuous casting machines. A continuous wire caster is a machine to continuously cast about 3 mm diameter wires directly from liquid metal. Expert had designed this machine in his own way to cast Ni, Stellites and other super-alloy wires.
