Organization Redesign and Leadership Development. Developed top-to-bottom organization redesign, leadership development/succession and training plan for the nation’s second largest public school district, for $275 million in projected annual savings. Instructional Strategy Alignment and Culture Change. A large urban school district was suffering from low student test scores, poor faculty morale, and instructional programs which were not realizing expected results. We assessed their programs, faculty preparedness, program implementation, and culture, and made recommendations that significantly improved student test scores, teacher morale, and preparedness, and enabled programs to exceed desired results, e.g., one school went from 45% to 69% proficient in 5th grade mathematics. New Curriculum Model. A large online teaching university was struggling with developing meaningful practical programs for its Ph.D. students. I assessed the learning readiness of the students and change readiness of the organization, and implemented a new practical course which has increased enrollment by 20% because of its rave reviews from students and faculty. Economic Capacity Building. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Central Asian TAM/BAS desired to grow consulting capacity within Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic, and selected The Change Leader to develop the processes to grow their local consulting associations and develop more certified consultants. We designed a process that leveraged current resources in other countries and certified seven consultants, and trained these consultants on how to conduct certification panels and certify assessors, thus creating the seed processes for building consulting capacity.Organizational Strategy and Culture Change. A reserve Air Force Wing had a mission change thrust upon it due to the BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) process, and struggling with impacts of fighting wars on two fronts, increased requirements, and decreasing budgets. We helped it design a new way forward taking into account the mission change, global situation, and budgetary constraints.Interim CEO/CAO for a small startup university. Improved enrollment by 15% and revenues by 20% over the previous high term numbers. Developed the university’s first strategic plan, putting it on a path to grow 500+% over 5 years. Implemented three new articulation agreements and two joint programs with other universities that were projected to bring in $250,000 in new revenues / students in their first year. Successfully passed a university’s first VA audit since receiving authorization for VA funding for students.Accreditation Services. Oversaw preparations for reaccreditation for a small startup university. Wrote and/or revise multiple documents including institutional learning outcomes; program mission, objectives and learning outcomes; curriculum maps; faculty qualifications; academic integrity policy; faculty experience policy; two catalogs; university strategic plan; staff job descriptions; faculty and student handbooks; faculty contracts; student enrollment agreement; and other documents critical for the university to pass reaccreditation. Strategic Planning and Implementation. Developed new strategic and implementation plans that charted a new way forward for a reserve Air Force Wing which had a mission change thrust upon it due to the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process and was struggling with increased operational requirements and decreasing budgets. The final plan took into account its new mission, the global situation, and budgetary constraints while significantly improving morale and mission readinessInterim COO.
