Expert Witness Experience
While with Coopers & Lybrand ( C&L), as a value added service to the audit and accountancy work for a French construction company, SOCEA, executing water pipe laying contract in Lagos, a Lagos State and World Bank sponsored project, he provided tax planning service that saved the company millions of dollars through financing and balance sheet structuring.
He joined then distressed Ivory Merchant Bank Ltd as the Head of Financial Control and Strategic Planning and succeeded in leading the restructure of the bank’s balance sheet, managed its regulatory compliance and together with other members of the team brought the bank to profitability in the first year of their intervention.
Training / Seminars
He prepared and presented papers on (a) business focus of West African Bankers Association (WABA); (b) Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and WABA – A paper on Credit Bureaus; focusing on the need for motivation, participation and championing the provisions of a conducive environment for their evolution across the West African sub-region. A number of initiatives are which already in progress in this direction. At a Capacity Building workshop for Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) he developed and presented papers on Project Modeling and Investment Evaluation for Public Private Partnership (PPP) in the provision of infrastructure.
