WAC (recently merged with Joint Innovation Lab (JIL)) was a joint venture formed between 58+ Carrier Operator companies including AT&T, Orange, Vodafone, Verizon, China Mobile, etc. WAC has a combined customer reach of well over 3 billion consumers, WAC was established to promote the development of new mobile technologies, applications and services, with an initial focus on developing and deploying a mobile widgets platform to encourage innovative new mobile internet services. These mobile widgets will be capable of enhancing the customers' mobile internet experience on a variety of smart phones as well as mid- and low- cost handsets on multiple operating systems.

CfBT had outsourced their international data & voice to a vendor, the vendor supplied a MPLS solution. Expert was brought in to identify problems & gaps in requirements, which could be translated into contract changes. Expert also made suggestions on strategy and process changes associated with the new MPLS network & Programme Managed the interfaces. One in Egypt and one in Kuwait, completed all commercials, Sla’s etc associated with this. Expert sourced a new
205 seat call centre, based in Egypt. The desk tops were primarily Citrix based.

Thales Aerospace January 2008 - April 2008 (London) Design Authority

Design Authority, working for Thales aerospace, Developed strategy for new air born gsm system for passengers. This included sourcing vendors (who were certified) arranging air born tests, acceptance & sla. Also high level design for a Wimax meshed air to air system for sharing satellite bandwidth. Liaising with military vendors & assessing financial, technical capabilities. Expert was the product manager for air FMC.

Managing 999 VoIP regulatory challenges of 999 & 21st century networks. Expert solely represented BT at the 999 conferences with the office of the deputy Prime minister and Ofcom. Responsible for Global emergency access VoIP challenges, Expert represented BT at NENA and Artesian was also responsible for sourcing new vendors, writing RFP & contract negotiations with vendors for

These were a voice over IP technology refresh on their fibre network (Nortel), capacity upgrade (Installation of a new fibre ring by Nortel & also Aurora network equipment), digital mass market (Digital/Pay TV interactive) Wifi-Lan roll-out This position needed the ability to “hit the ground running” and be able to design, lead as well as manage. Reviewed their current network vendors & design, for Data & Voice. Issued ITT for vendors for a replacement network, reviewed against needs & recommended the strategy for voice, video, data and mobility, with suggested phased vendor strategy. Expert was responsible for the North America ATM network infrastructure for the foundations, extremely large and mainly "Nortel Passport" networks, again focused on voice, data and wireless.

Expert Programme managed the migration of the network, from a microwave network to an ATM network, with over
1028 Nodes. Expert was responsible for all vendor logistics for the ATM network.
Whilst at Kaiser, Expert reduced yearly budget for personnel by RETAINING STAFF!!! Corp headquarters wanted to lay off staff and has all in a 2 hubs in California, Expert reviewed these costs and kept the staff (Even if facility closed in some cases) as their integral knowledge of the company was invaluable, Expert suggested and the company accepted a "Silo" working methodology where most Engineers worked by Telecommuting, using video conferencing and remote worker techniques.
Expert managed approx. 207 IT managers across various facilities, from Hawaii to Texas. As their senior manager Expert regularly flew to various facilities, to resolve and motivate those manager's staff, financial & technical issues. Expert had an "Open Budget" at Kaiser, as it was a foundation & not a company.
