THREADED FASTENER RELIABILITY. Expert understands the tightening process, loosening phenomena, and constructing practical engineering models (mathematical and graphical). These are technical areas where he has been able to assist others in their engineering designs and assembly process specifications.

THREADED FASTENER FAILURE ANALYSIS. A fastener can fail as a result of many possible singular or combined influences. Expert's experience includes failures due to metallurgical, heat-treat, fabrication/processing, installation, structural design, as well as service load and environmental influences.

MULTICOMPONENT SENSOR; MULTICOMPONENT SENSOR DESIGN. Expert has over 25 years experience in transducer design. His six component (three force, three moment) automotive and truck test wheel sensors are used by major US and European vehicle manufacturers for gathering load data and their reliability programs.

THREADED FASTENER TORQUE-TENSION TEST EQUIPMENT; THREADED FASTENER TESTING; THREADED FASTENER TESTING MACHINE; THREADED FASTENER TESTING MACHINE DESIGN. Expert has designed test equipment capable of establishing torque-tension performance standards for fasteners. The most advanced of these designs, the RS Technologies LTD 9504 system, provides direct reading of underhead and thread friction torques, as well as torque-tension coefficients. His testing laboratory has been accredited by AZLA for calibration of force and torque measurement devices.
