Expert is an experienced Cardiac Surgeon and Research Investigator. He possesses over two decades of experience developing clinical studies to generate novel understandings of heart and lung surgical diseases -- and methods of quality assessment and management to improve clinical patient outcomes.

An author and public speaker, Expert has published three books and chapters, 80 peer-reviewed publications, 10 invitations to national and local grand round presentations, and 5 international and 20 national and regional presentations. He is focused on optimizing the quality of care and clinical outcomes in cardiothoracic surgery. He is also adept at using training medicine and science to innovate novel avenues in delivering safe and effective therapy to patients while educating and training the next generation of surgeons. His broad-based expertise includes mentorship, cardiovascular science, education, investigation and efficacy governance. He is long dedicated to building effective relationships and providing crucial support to stakeholders and patients.

Expert has extensive publications in the field of adult, pediatric cardiovascular surgery including heart and lung transplantation and mechanical ventricular support. He also reviews many submissions to various leading journals as well as review grants for the NHLIB and conducts several clinical research projects.

As an expert witness and consultant, Expert specializes in translational science.

Expert's research is clinical outcomes assessment following congenital heart surgery, heart and lung transplantation and mechanical support. His goal is to risk adjust clinical outcomes with robust statistical methodology. He has interest in minimally invasive surgery as well as adult congenital heart disease.
