Expert does consulting and contract R&D in these fields. In fact, his company has received eight grants from the California EPA Office of Alternative Technology on specific hazardous waste minimization projects for the printed circuit board industry. He also received a DOD/Navy grant. Expert also designs, uses, and troubleshoots equipment for the semiconductor industry, such as sulfuric acid reprocessing equipment.

Expert consults in the areas of waste and wastewater treatment. He has specified, asked for quotes, evaluated for final selection, installed, and done troubleshooting for wastewater treatment systems. He has also worked on recycling and reuse systems, water use minimization, sludge reduction, and others. He is currently doing an R&D project on sludge minimization and innovative sludge treatment methods. Additionally, Expert formulates and uses flocculating agents for waste treatment. An expert in wastewater treatment, Expert has designed and is currently operating a 500 GPM system to convert semiconductor wastewater back to ultrapure fab water.

Expert has specified and designed treatment processes for reverse osmosis compatibility.

Expert designs, uses, and troubleshoots sulfuric acid recovery and purification equipment in semiconductor plants.

Expert has expertise in the area of California State permits, especially industrial waste treatment, risk management prevention plans, Permit by Rule, wastewater treatment, and industrial safety. He is a Registered Environmental Assessor, an Arbitrator for the Hazardous Substance Cleanup Arbitration Panel, and a certified waste treatment engineer.

Expert has spent over 20 years in research and development management. He has participated in all of the above topics listed in this summary section, including design and development of novel plating, electroless plating, printed circuit plating, CMP processing, and waste treatment chemical processes. He also developed and commercialized, as a technical sales rep and as manager, capital equipment for waste treatment, wastewater recycle, chemical recycle, ultrapure water production and recycle, fluoride removal, heavy metals removal, CMP waste treatment, and other wastes in the semiconductor and plating industries. He has in-depth knowledge of plating, electroless plating, surface treatment, and waste treatment of semiconductor and plating wastes.

Array

Expert ran a pilot waste treatment system for a supplier to a major semiconductor process plant in competition with two other selected vendors. He won the contract, worth in excess of $3MM, for the client company, and took the job for the design and installation of same.He finished the installation, troubleshooting, and successful start-up of a fluoride removal and water recycle system at a major semiconductor plant in Asia, at 500 GPM. Expert has worked with a U.S. client in the plating industry for over 12 years to handle all permitting and reporting issues for air quality, sanitation, storm water, OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and the like.He worked with a U.S. client company to help develop a successful line of copper cleaning products for sub-micron copper semiconductor chips. Expert worked with an electroless silver on plastics specialty product, and with electroless plating on engineering plastics for another project.
