Expert has finished his bachelor in surface engineering. His area was heat treatment of surface of powder metallurgy parts. He then started his master of science in welding metallurgy; his focus was on AISI 4130 steels mechanical properties before and after the welding. He was also a welding engineer in a PIC company which designed super heavy forming press. TWI co. gave him the senior level in welding inspection and he also holds the Plant inspector level 1. During his PhD he also had a project for weld ability of material according to their chemical composition.
One of his job was providing the WPS and PQR and supervision of weld tests. His references were ASME 9 and AWS D1.1. He also is familiar with some NDT processes such as ultrasonic and radiography.

Expert graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Employer, Canada in Laser Material Processing and Additive Manufacturing in Direct Energy Deposition. He has had collaboration with universities as an adjunct professor and industries such as Boeing, and Wescast Co. Currently he is research council officer (RCO) in Automotive and Surface Transportation Portfolio- Additive Manufacturing. He is talented researcher and Engineer always looking for innovative and novel methods in manufacturing processes and materials development.
Expert has been involved in numerous professional/Industrial activities and particularly at the executive level in the Canadian Society of materials, Canada Makes and Society of manufacturing Engineers. He has chaired or played instrumental roles in several leading conferences and symposia. He founded and currently leads the Additive manufacturing network at NRC.

His strong background in materials science, process optimization, design alloys for proper microstructures and leadership has been recognized with different industries and academia in order to apply the fundamental and applied research to address their challenges.

He has authored of scientific publications, book and book chapter in additive manufacturing.
