Expert has extensive experience in deploying state-of-the-art and innovative analysis for wind flow characterization, wind turbine performance testing (based on standards IEC61400-12-1ed.2005, ed.2017, IEC61400-12-2, and guidelines from MEASNET and EUDP project), and parametrical turbine power deviation analysis and optimization.
Expert has led Lidar measurement campaigns on more than 70 turbines, from a large variety of WTM, on turbines from 550kW to 7.5MW, on simple to mountain terrain, in Europe, Asia, and North and South America.
Expert identified, developed and proved via field tests and scientific publications the turbine performance improvement via yaw misalignment correction.
Expert was responsible of providing trainings on the Nacelle Lidar technology and its application to client's teams around the world, as well as scientific support.
Noticeable achievement: The democratization of the yaw misalignment and Nacelle Transfer Function analysis and a larger acceptation of Nacelle Mounted Lidar for operationnal power curve.
Expert specializes in wind flow analysis based on wind Lidar measurements.
He has worked extensively on the evaluation of the 2D and 3D Nacelle Mounted Lidar wind speed reconstruction in the objective to find and validate the algorithm that would render the most representative wind flow information based on the Lidar measurement.
Expert has trained many teams from around the world on Wind Lidar technology, especially pulsed technology.
He has some familiarity with Continuous Wave wind Lidar. He can answer on the choice of wind Lidar products that would be adapted for a targeted application.
